How We Met
The Initial Spark
We first crossed paths at Hillcrest College in 2013. Carl was the freshly minted Deputy Head Boy, Betty was the nerd, crowned top A-level student at the time, and the two of us said a grand total of zero words to each other. School ended, and that was that!
The Reunion
Then 2021 happened. Betty moved back to Zim, Carl's best friend, Vincent, played matchmaker — though Betty wasn't sold. It wasn't until a Rotaract quiz night in 2023 that we found ourselves in the same room and actually started talking. Carl is convinced Betty was dazzled by his charm and him winning the quiz, but Betty insists she was just being polite as the quiz night host. We will let you decide!!!
The Rest is History
Years later, we are getting married. Turns out God has a sense of humour and excellent taste.
